The role...
Are you a passionate, forward thinking Theatre Engineer experienced in delivering and maintaining the staging of large-scale productions to the highest quality and standards?
We are currently recruiting for Senior Production Technicians and Production Technicians in our Stage Engineering department. In these exciting roles, you will be part of a team who will deliver the stage engineering and technical requirements of a large scale West End production.
Working with a diverse and multi-skilled team, you will provide the highest standard of customer experience to our resident production and break new ground in our industry.

What you’ll be doing…
Working closely with the Head of Stage Engineering and the Deputy Head of Stage Engineering you will:
Deliver the staging of the resident production to the highest of standards.
Undertake a regular maintenance and inspection regime and report any issues that arise.
Be adaptive and pragmatic in finding solutions when problems arise.
Carry out various show duties including flying, stage plots, automation cover and running the show staff.
Assist and liaise in delivering other projects as set out by the Head of Stage Engineering.
Keep up to date with new equipment and technical systems.
Undertake any training requirements.
Have a positive approach and actively implement the LW Theatres Health & Safety policy.
Maintain excellent communication between all departments of the theatre and resident production.
Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping to ensure the venue is kept clean and tidy.
The Senior Production Technician will provide cover for the Head of Stage Engineering and the Deputy Head of Stage Engineering in the event of their absence.
Depending on the role you are applying for we ask that you have...
Extensive practical knowledge of technical theatre systems.
Experience in the fit-up and get out of large-scale productions.
Experience of counterweight flying. - An understanding of automation control systems.
Experience in maintaining a wide variety of stage engineering and other technical equipment.
An understanding of rigging.
Adapt to changing circumstances and overcome challenges.
Experience of successfully delivering projects to deadlines and working under pressure.
Willing to review existing working methods and help to develop new practices.
Have a professional, proactive, and pragmatic approach at all times.
A basic knowledge of electrical installations would be advantageous
For the Senior Production Technician roles:
previous experience of leading, motivating and instructing a team.
Salary:
Senior Production Technician - £32,000 per annum
Production Technician - £30,000 per annum
