Stage Technology Lecturer
Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week) Salary Range: £40,750-£46,150 per annum including London Weighting (depending on experience)

We are seeking an outstanding individual to take up the post of Stage Technology Lecturer.
You will be responsible for teaching Stage Technology (rigging, flying, automation etc.), and supervising students undertaking production and project work. You will have extensive industry experience that demonstrates continued high standing in the profession. You will also contribute to wider teaching, tutoring and assessment activities in the department. You will have experience of working in higher education settings; a good understanding of the needs of students in a complex learning environment; and the ability to represent your discipline in the public domain through professional/industry sector engagement, consultancy, and/or research (which could include R&D in new processes and equipment).
The Production Arts Department is responsible for BA Production Arts, BA Video Design for Live Performance and MA Collaborative Theatre Production and Design; a series of short courses and outreach activities; and extensive production activity in the School’s programme of public-facing performances and events. We work closely on a range of productions (including operas, dramas, site-specific and digital works) with other departments at Guildhall and (through Guildhall Live Events) a range of external and commercial partners. Our students learn through workshop-based activities, study and intensive production and practice. They have opportunities to extend their knowledge by working on pathways other than their major area of study, and to develop their own interests and creative agency through independent projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing teaching in your area of specialism. You will be organised, able to meet deadlines and manage your own workload. You will have up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety and a commitment to promoting safe working and inclusive practices.
